Travel back with us to the Medieval period of 450 A.D. to 1100 A.D. when Romans ruled the world and Barbarians were a constant threat to civilized life.   England was cut in half by Hadrian’s Wall – the Picts and other warring tribes lived North of the wall and civilization was the rule South of the wall.  The Saxons were harassing and looting the English coastal cities.  England herself was little better than petty nobles constantly at battle with each other.  One lone man of middle nobility, the son of a Roman Cavalry Oficer, was able to unite the forces of England and cast off the Roman control.   The Saxons were harried back to their own lands; those that stayed became fierce defenders of England.  This man had such a spiritual attachment to the lands he protected, he always knew when and where trouble was brewing.  Pulling a sword from the stone, he was declared King of England.  The Lady of the Lake gave him the singing sword – Excalibur.  This man was England and was known as Arthur.  He brought civilization and chivalry back to the world.
